Candy Bar Cam Helps Make TV Show

Jan 05 2010: BiKal's range of Plug n Play IP Cameras, the Candy Bar Cam, was used to help producers make new TV show 'Fat Families' to be aired on SKY 1 every Wednesday from the 6th of January. The plug n play camera's easy remote access feature and simple to use software allowed producers to monitor show contestants in order to help produce show content and liaise with contestants in real time.

BiKal's CTO, B Kalia went on to comment how IP surveillance technology can help content producers capture high definition video up to 1080p HD resolution and provide local storage to remote monitoring with 2-way communication to help manage video & show content. Fat Families can be viewed on Sky1 & Sky1 HD in the UK on Wednesdays at 8pm.

Smoke & Fire Detection Video Analytics Released

Oct 01 2009: BiKal IP CCTV have released a Video Smoke & Fire Detection system to their flagship network surveillance software EyeSoft adding to their range of video analytics systems. BiKal claim that the new video smoke & fire detection system can help save lives and limit damage by acting as an early warning system for potential fire events in wide open areas to industrial sites and other areas where standard fire detection systems cannot reach citing the fire detection system potentially useful for detecting forest fires to protecting public areas and industrial process areas. EyeSoft Integrates Nvidia's Cuda Technology

Oct 01 2009: BiKal announces the first CCTV software to integrate with Nvidia's Cuda graphics technology. The integration means that EyeSoft, BiKal's network video recording solution can utilise the computing power of the GPU instead of the CPU. This has allowed BiKal to develop the Video Analytics Offload Engine allowing the software to use the GPU for processing advanced video analytics resulting in faster response times and lower hardware costs.
